Medeski left his organ at home for this one and sits strictly behind the piano. The album features tracks from three nights of live acoustic performances by the trio at Tonic in NYC. Leaning towards Avant Garde, the live atmosphere opens the sound to an improvised and out sound. Some of the more straight-ahead songs like "Your Lady" have a laid back Latin feel with the loose style of drummer Billy Martin.
