The stylistically restless Ronstadt is often at her best when sharing the spotlight, and this album has the warm feel of her sets with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris. Ronstadt and Cajun folk convert Ann Savoy enjoyed working together on a tribute album so much that they reteamed for this lovely set of front porch ballad duets and barnstormers. They take on folk classics, the old '60s hit "Walk Away, Renee," a couple of Richard Thompson numbers and a French standard.
