Best known for the animated TV series Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, the veteran stand-up released Caffeinated, his first album of recorded material, in 2007. Like a cross between George Carlin and Woody Allen, Katz has a serious talent for words wrapped in a mile-wide streak of self-deprecation. The set veers from straight stand-up into performance with the skit "A Collect Call from the Pope," and Katz further illustrates his array of comedic talents by interacting directly with the audience. He even sings on the title track.
