I:Cube steps up his game considerably on his third album, maintaining his eclectic touch while diving into some of the most fully realized sound design of his career so far. For proof, just check "Vacuum Jackers," which chops up Farley "Jackmaster" Funk's Chicago staple "Beat That Bitch With A Bat" over a crisp, kicking groove and proceeds to pour honey all over it. Hip-hop's in the house: RZA (yes, the RZA) guests on the "Can You Deal With That?" and "Fabu" recalls early Wagon Christ at his best. For pastoral techno, it doesn't get sunnier than "Tunnel Vision."
