Your typical Jethro Tull performance in the 1970s wasn't just a rock concert; it was a communal journey through a black forest teaming with elves, nymphs and 10-minute flute solos. So yeah, Live at Madison Square Garden will surely remind you of last autumn's Renaissance Fair. However, the Tull were a rock band first and foremost, and this album contains some sturdy riffs. As always, the minions go bonkers for "Thick as a Brick" and "Aqualung," yet the heaviest jam here is "Locomotive Breath."
