The twin sisters started releasing music back when they were teenagers; now over a decade later and six albums in, the girls still can't help that adolescent angst from nudging its way into their music. They even admit it on "On Directing" -- "go steady with me/ I know it turns you off when I get talking like a teen." But both their talent and maturity overshadow any arrested development. With Leonard Cohen's "Came So Far for Beauty" as an influence, the Quins turn relationship woes into equal parts dance-punk romp and emotional pop-tinged rocker.
