This reissue of the veteran alt-metal band's 1997 debut, billed as the "Definitive Edition," boasts five bonus cuts, a spiffy digital remastering and a companion DVD featuring a live set from Chicago, as well as behind-the-scenes tour footage. Hits "Black" and "Bitch," as well as a muscular combination of classic thrash, rap-metal and Soundgarden-worthy punch, Sevendust, in its original form, firmly entrenched the band near the top of the metal heap. Singer Lajon Witherspoon and guitarist Clint Lowery consistently steal the show from each other.
