Mark Oliver Everett is a prolific man. Eels' second release in 2010 is the closing of a trilogy that began with 2009's Hombre Lobo (about desire), then End Times (about loss). The finale is all about redemption, and after the forlorn tone of the previous two, it's welcomingly satisfying. Everett's "a hummingbird, beautiful and free," "grateful" and "full of love" and all this optimism is set against a thrilling backdrop of supple strings, Kid A bleeps ("This Is Where It Gets Good"), funky Beck beats ("Spectacular Girl," "The Man") and some good ol' fashioned rock 'n' roll ("Looking Up").
