Dinah's an amazing singer and she's backed by a dynamite band (Clark Terry, Ernie Royal, etc., led by Quincy Jones), but they end up fighting against a curtain of molasses-heavy Nashville-style strings and "vapor voices." Though southern R&B audiences liked countrypolitan arrangements during this era, they really shouldn't have trusted The Man on that one.
