Though it's been five years since Tank dropped his last album, the R&B singer is far from rusty. His voice still resides in the middle-ground between R. Kelly's winding, half-spoken cadence and Jaheim's sweetly seductive croon, and the production is timeless, leaning heavily on overly dramatic slow jams and skeletal club tracks. "Coldest" belongs in the former camp, though there's a nice beat that undercuts the strings' tension. The mid-tempo "I Love You," meanwhile, provides a hopeful bit of optimism, which is needed after downbeat fair such as "I Hate You."
