He actually released two full-length albums on the same March 1992 day: Human Touch is, uh, the longer one. The gently carnal title track still makes greatest-hits comps; "57 Channels (And Nothin' On)" is a goofy talking-blues oddity wherein Bruce shoots out his TV, Elvis-style. The vibe here is poppy and genial and what they call "adult-oriented," but even at its softest our man is howling with less gently carnal aplomb -- see the flashy coda to "Roll of the Dice." Lotta synths here, but nothing dates this more than The Boss only having 57 channels. That's Randy Jackson on bass, dog.
