Before you break out your inhaler to deal with the patchouli fumes, take a minute. 17 Hippies are not really 17 hippies, they're 13 German multi-instrumentalists and singers who love gypsy music, French musette, American folk and blues...Okay, maybe that sounds just as bad. But it's really, really not. Known for their rollicking live shows, the group has evolved over the years, slowly letting the manic gypsy and Americana-influenced breakdowns mingle with classy neo-chanson.
