Sisters and Disney contract stars Aly and AJ are strong of faith: they're devout Christians, dedicated actresses and believe strongly in the power of pop music to inspire, uplift and, well, deliver the occasional how-to when it comes to a breakup. The ska-inflected "Potential Breakup Song" typifies the sophistication of their third LP, which features as many glistening guitar hooks as it does surprising twists. "Like It or Leave It" looks to the Police, while "Silence" is a curiously minimal electronic tune. It seems you don't need to agree with the theory of evolution to make witty pop tunes.
