The title will clue you in: This is an album about forgiveness, acceptance, compromise and how much submitting to all those things can really suck sometimes (particularly when you're in a big collective of musicians). These sentiments reflect in the music; horns, strings and synths battle for control, but soon give way for some of BSS' most melodic material ("All to All," "Sweetest Kill," "Romance to the Grave"), hinting at producer John McEntire's serene, post-rock aesthetic. Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning remain the core, but gather up familiar faces like Amy Millan, Emily Haines and Feist.
