El Gran Silencio

They say "we are Latinos and we love all music," which explains how they can mix traditional Mexican norteno with Dancehall, Ska, rock and then some. El Gran Silencio started out as a high school band, but thanks to band's knack for writing brash, energetic songs and their stick-to-it attitude, the group has become one of Mexico's pre-eminent rock bands. Often El Gran Silencio start with what seems like a traditional Latin tune, then proceed to turn it on its head with a careless, nearly Punk attitude.
