Two Lights finds John Ondrasik singing through his nose in that post-millennial, commercial radio vocal style previously found in the larynx of Coldplay's Chris Martin. It's too late for Ondrasik to submit a song to the Garden State soundtrack, but if he could go back in time to 2004, "The Riddle" would sit well between the aforementioned Coldplay and the Shins' "Caring Is Creepy." "Policeman's Xmas Party" dares to answer the question, "What if Beck wrote a song for Oingo Boingo?"
