James Blunt follows up the utter triumph of "You're Beautiful" with an invigorated reminiscence of clubbing in the early '70s, exactly the era evoked by the tune's bass-heavy, near-disco gate. Even with the heavy-handed couplets, (matching "Simona" with "ov-ah," etc.) the quickened heartbeat suits Blunt's dusty tenor, and by the time the winning chorus swings around twice to cap things off, the deep hook makes a worthy tribute to 1973's pure A.M. Gold.
