For those of you who dig Jimi Hendrix but for whom a four-disc box set is too much to explore, this highlights disc culled from Winterland is a nice compromise. The majority of its tracks are classic-rock standards. These include "Manic Depression," "Little Wing," "Fire," "Voodoo Child" and the Dylan calling card "Like a Rolling Stone." But this doesn't mean you should sleep on the deep cuts, like the smoldering 11-minute version of "Hear My Train a-Comin'."
