It is now required by law that all summer and beach themed 'chill' compilations must feature Koop's "Summer Sun." Such ubiquity can be a blessing or a curse for an artist, particularly if the track in question doesn't truly represent their sound. In Koop's case that isn't a problem, because 'summer sun' is probably the best way to describe their blend of jazz and electronica. It's no small feat to mix those two worlds without creating dreadful cheese, so Koop are to be congratulated, and all the more so for inviting guests Earl Zinger and Terry Callier to the party.
