Peter and the Test Tube Babies

Peter & the Test Tube Babies are Oi!'s long-standing jokesters: cider-drinking louts who recorded ferociously sung, fast and loud Streetpunk with silly lyrics about Elvis, transvestites, and being thrown out of bars. In an era glutted by Oi!'s political sloganeering and working class idealism, P&TTB made music unlike their contemporaries. The songs were harder and grittier than those of the more Punk oriented C*ck Sparrer, without all the Viking-rock tendencies of the more politically-motivated Combat 84. Simply put, they made straight-ahead Oi!, with all it's welcoming chants and pub culture humor. They've managed to become Oi! legends with classic songs like "Banned from the Pubs" and "Moped Lads," all the while retaining their signature, in-your-face sound.
