Silvertide

Silvertide are a modern hard rock band that formed in a rough part of northeast Philly in the late 1990s, and they fit in with the 1970s-obsessed groups that cropped up in the early 2000s. But unlike ironically-minded Brits the Darkness or the more experimental Scissor Sisters -- two bands whose sound certainly harkens back to an earlier rock era -- Silvertide have no intention of being funny or re-inventing FM radio classics. This is heavy music for the sake of heavy music.
