L.A.'s the Adored got a hand up from the Buzzcocks' Pete Shelley, who obviously heard something he knew in their sound. Shelley's backing vocals on two tracks reinforce that familiarity, but the second-generation mod (the Jam, the Chords, etc.) and post-punk reverberations in the power chords keep this band sounding fresh.
