This double-disc retrospective is a tribute to a seminal underground Detroit act that was vital in shaping the scene that produced garage revivalists like the White Stripes and Von Bondies. The collection starts with a disc of thumping originals, with highlights in "Cedar Point '76" and "Broke In Detroit (Again)," and is followed by a disc of brilliantly interpreted soul covers. It's "Natural Man" that takes the cake; Mick Collins' howling vocals make his rendition of the blues standard a thing of ragged beauty.
