While the brothers' blood-close harmonies were rooted in the sacred moves of ancient country, their practice of infusing the newly emerging phenomenon of rock 'n' roll into their often-acoustic guitars represents the very first stirrings of country rock. Simply may not have their totally awesome cover of Roger Miller's "Burma Shave," but it does have "Bird Dog," which is also awesome.
