The Mother Hips

The Hips always dabbled in twang, but it wasn't until their fourth LP that they tuned up, turned down and dropped into a full-fledged California country rock sound. The softer songs here, like the romantic "Motorhome" and the epic "Tired Wings," recall Neil Young's Harvest, while "Esmerelda" throws down their signature hand-clapping/boogie-rock bluesy jams.
