Signing to a superstar's imprint label, in this case T.I.'s, is a double-edged sword. On the one hand you get instant exposure, while on the other you're guaranteed to always live in the star's shadow. For the artists on Grand Hustle, who are collected here, this was a wise move, as the Machiavellian ATL icon has surrounded himself with emcees who have a fraction of his talent. Young Dro distills the crack rap game for pop listeners, and Macboney sounds as if he's about to fall asleep. Let's hope that T.I.'s friends enjoy their time in the spotlight. It won't last.
