The Other Side: Berlin was a mix originally released with the Berlin tourist DVD Allien produced for Time Out magazine. But as a mix on its own, the disc is totally killer. As is always the case with Allien, she's able to blend novel new wave and punk with cutting-edge minimal and make it all sound as if it belonged together. There's Bowie singing "Heroes" in German, a little Wayne County and even heady stuff like Rhythm and Sound and Ricardo Villalobos. The Other Side: Berlin will spice up any party like super-dynamite guacamole dip.
