Produced by New Yorker Dre Skull, Kingston Story is the dawning of a new age in dancehall. Giving his hardcore dancehall style some hip-hop and pop flavor, the controversial Kartel makes his music even more accessible. The best tracks are singles ("Go Go Wine" and "Yuh Love"), but other notable cuts include "Push It In," "Mi Remember" and "My Crew." This deluxe version isn't much of one -- just two new tracks, the skip-hopping hip-hop jam "Money" and the dancehall-dirty "Good Pussy." But the fact that they were released while Kartel was in jail for murder is pretty significant.
